It's weird. I still can't decide if he is playing or trying to dominate. I think he is playing but I'm not sure! He gets into these moods where he will literally run after one or the other of them and TACKLE them. He is so big and strong that everyone ends up going flying and then the kittens will turn around and hiss at him and run away. He isn't hurting them I just think it startles them because he is so rough. If myself or my boyfriend happens to be standing near Gizzy around this time he has scratched us and run away and one time he actually bit Daryl and then took off. (redirected aggression?) It's not hard, and I know he could do much worse but I'm not sure what to make of it. Since Gizzy and Oscar have become friends, Oscar will rub up against him and they groom each other and play, but every morning Gizzy will still go after one or the other of them. (more often Lilly as of lately because her and Gizzy have not bonded yet).
I am not REALLY worried. Things have been steadily getting better so I know it will work out in the end but I didn't know if this was typical Bengal behavior just because of the breed and if they literally play rougher than other cats. Maybe since he was raised with big dogs and no other cats this is what he is used to and he will learn to be more gentle over time?
One other thing: He has marked a spot in my house..... (a big plant). I have since removed the plant from my house but the smell is still in my hardwood floor. Nature's Miracle? Should i worry he will do this other places? Anything I can do? Will the smell fade over time? Ugh.....
Last night he slept next to me again..... I LOVE MY BIG BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm insane I think but I think I want another one. When would be the best time to introduce another bengal KITTEN? I won't have a deposit until March and I don't want to traumatize the members of the house too soon. Am I on the right track here? Maybe I should just stick with my three babies...
I bought Da Bird.... and Oscar is NUTSO over it. Gizzy is hard to please..... He only likes the little mice so far and seems much more interested in the kittens than anything else!
