Not Bengals, but these pictures show off Polar Bear glitter pretty nicely (they have hollow hair shafts just like glittered Bengals - it helps keep them boyant):

Way 'cool' pictures!! It would be VERY exciting to get that close to a polar bear in the wild.....!
(I wonder if highly glittered Bengals would float, too.....?!)

This is a timely thread - today when Peepers was sleeping toasty warm on top of my monitor while I was going thru some photos, I was thinking that I'd try to get some glitter shots of him as the overhead light was hitting him just right. So, I got these -- you can see some of the glitter he has; he's got it all over. The shorter hair on his legs, paws, face have a high sheen.

This was under regular light bulbs - sunlight and brighter lighting brings it out more.

You can see some of it in these back of his neck shots --

And also from the front and along his leg (he's sort of slid down between the computer monitor and the shelf.... ;)
You can also see the 'triangle' on his nose good in this shot. Image

Thank you! It IS hard to capture on camera the way it really is.

I didn't even know what glitter was a few short months ago -- I thought he had some weird kind of thing going on with his fur, and I had to send pictures to the breeder before she confirmed it was this strange thing called 'glitter'.... Silly newbie!
Now I'm quite excited he has it!

I just checked back through all the other pics on this thread - some really cool glittered Bengals!!!! I think we should see more pics....!!

My new camera is pretty good at capturing glitter - here are a few shots I took this week - this is under basement lighting. I can't wait to take pictures when they're in the sun!

Nice glitter! I notice it when the cats are under lamps in the house too. I've never tried to photograph it though because I figured the flash would go off and ruin it. Did your flash go off in any of those pics Renee?

I love the pic of the two on the table. They have no idea how cute they are!

Nope, those were all taken with the flash turned off. Once the flash goes off, so does the glitter! My new camera lets me take all sorts of low light pictures without getting blurry. It's great for capturing their true color too. These were all taken by accident - especially the ones of Lynkin. I shot those as he was running by.

I'm going to try that when Shine is laying in her favorite spot--which happens to be just under a lamp...I've never thought to try that with the flash turned off-thought it would be too blurry--but I'll see what happens....hmmm! caticon

Sakura has no glitter and nor do my fosters. But Apollo does. I noticed it on his brown hair under light and I bet he would look glorious in the sun. He has a lot of black on him though and it doesn't seem to show on the black hair?

Yep, snows have glitter! It looks a lot different from the glitter on the browns - more iridescent like a pearl. Lynkin is probably our most glittered, but Hank is a close second - maybe he has more. I guess it's hard to tell. They're both pretty full of glitter. Turk has some, but it's mostly around the edges of his pattern and on his head. He has a really tight pelt and I've been told that tight pelts tend not to be as glittered. I guess with ours, that's been true. Hank and Lynkin have pretty long fur with thick individual hairs (maybe because they're hollow?). Coot is only glittered on his feet. Very weird. But, he's like Jazz and has ticked fur so I think that's why he's not glittered anywhere else.

Shantra - I think you're right, black fur doesn't have glitter. At least none of the black fur on my boys has glitter. If it did, I bet it would tend to wash out the color since glittered fur is hollow, but I don't know for sure.

I think that's right too. BUT, what I love the black hair for is it's shininess. Ajax has a few stripes of black hair along his back, with some smaller chain-rosettes along the spine, that really glisten (or have a sheen) in the light. It's a really cool combo with the glittered brown and "blonde" hair mixed in. In fact, some of Ajax's darker brown hair has this copperish glitter tone, and it looks really nice next to the shiny black stuff.

Lynkin and Sapphire's snow glitter is RIDICULOUS (in a great/awesome way). When I get my seal lynx, I am going to absolutely demand that it have that type of glitter.

I love the iridescent Snow glitter on Sapphire. Her pelt is getting thicker as she grows. I'll try to get more pictures if the sun ever comes out this weekend. winkiss

Hi everyone! I discovered my 10 yr old Ragdoll cat Mickey has glitter in his coat! He was lying on our bed with the sun streaming in on his coat and there it was, very cool! First time I have seen it in the 10yrs I have had him, lol. He is a seal lynxpoint. I wonder if my 2 Bengal Boys will have it!
