My Khan is also an only child still.

I hope to change that but the older he gets the more worried I become.

My bengal is so spoiled that we bought him another bengal to play with. Sort of like my human child who asked for a little brother. We have smartened up now though

Hehe, at the moment I am working from home and Furyans dad is on holiday so he is getting 24 hours a day attention from us. He is very good if we go out for most of the day - he just sleeps, but he has our full attention when we are home. If I am working then dad plays fetch with him or cuddles him and visa versa. I cant imagine having to expend double this energy!!

We are a two cat household! Bentley, the 8 month old Silver Bengal, pedigreed, and Willow, the goofy Siamese, who is our rescue kitty. We adopted her at the same time with Bentley and they are inseparable. Bentley thinks she's his girlfriend!!! Thank goodness she is spayed!!!

I have 4 cats, 3 Bengals and one Russian Blue. I can't imagine trying to keep one Bengal entertained. I believe that when they have another cat to play with, they expend their energy on each other and you actually don't have to entertain them much at all.

The three Bengals RACE around the house chasing each other and wrestling like maniacs. All we do sometimes is duck as they fly by. I just couldn't do that with one Bengal. And I don't think there are enough cat toys in the world to keep a Bengal totally entertained. Just my honest opinion. winkiss

I know people may only be able to have one for millions of reasons but it must be difficult. (I wish Khan could have a brother or sister MacKitten!)

Do you not sometimes think the bengals urge each other on? I can only imagine them low flying through the house, hehe. On the whole and from watching youtube and listening to others I think Furyan is fairly low energy as far as Bengals are concerned. He is extremely active compared to other cats. At the moment the recipe seems to be working, he isnt displaying any signs of boredom or frustration, and we watch him very carefully. If we ever thought he was unhappy on his own we would make a plan to get him a sibling.

We're a two cat household. However the second cat is a geriatric Persian who doesn't offer Bamboo much company noooo!
When she moves on, we'll add another Bengal to our family, perhaps a retired Queen.

Java was meant to be an only child... but she was so mad and crazy and full of energy that for her first birthday we bought her Ru! He is the best present she has ever had, they love each other and now Java can burn off her energy with another bengal too!
